Dartmoor Distillery gins are handmade using Dartmoor Spring Water and hand-foraged Dartmoor botanicals – how many gins contain that?
Everything here is done by hand – collecting Dartmoor spring water, chopping up the botanicals, and even the bottling and labelling.
Owner John Lawton has over 30 years of experience in the drinks industry and started Teignworthy Brewery in Newton Abbot with his wife Rachel in 1994. Having made a success of the Brewery, John pursued his other passion and learnt about gin distilling. Together with his new-found skills and a team of like-minded people, they set up Dartmoor Distillery.
This gin is handmade using Dartmoor Spring Water and foraged Dartmoor botanicals. Hours have gone into perfecting this flagship drink, resulting in a smooth, botanical infusion with strong citrus notes, hints of wildflowers and a red berry finish. There are three different size options.

This navy strength gin will suit those who fancy their tipple with more bite. It is made from a special mix of traditional dry and heady botanicals, combined with those sourced from Dartmoor.
Navy strength gin has its origins with the British Royal Navy. It is said that the gin was ‘navy strength’ when a warship’s gunpowder could still ignite, even when soaked with the spirit. There are two different size options.
